Support for Homeschoolers

The great thing about homeschooling is that the education and educational approaches can be tailored to individual students. The unfortunate thing about homeschooling is that families might not have all of the academic or cognitive/intellectual expertise that individual students might need. I can help.

  • I was homeschooled myself, so I know, from a student’s perspective, about many aspects of homeschooling.
  • Because I have worked through all of the levels of education available at this point in history, I can guide homeschooled students through their educational endeavors at any level.
  • I can provide both topic-specific (short-term) support and subject-specific support (long-term), as needed.
  • I can also coordinate and/or provide intensive units on topics or subjects. Sometimes, students need to move more quickly in order to be successful in a certain domain, and addressing the domain in a more focused way can help.
  • If students have specific learning challenges, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, auditory comprehension impairments, autism, etc., I can work with families and students toward ways of approaching materials that encourage and promote progress and the joy of learning.
